Vic Bennett Cutters have had a dominant position in the cutting horse saddles for almost 2 decades. We are proud of the acceptance our cutting horse saddles have had at the top levels of the cutting horse business and work hard to maintain this position. We make 2 types of Cutting saddles, the Vic Bennett Cutter and the Vic Bennett Rawhide Cutter. The VB Cutter has a Bob Marshall tree while the VB Rawhide features a rawhide tree with more shape in the bars.
Cutters are simple. There is no much leather under the seat to work with. The difference between a good saddle and a bad saddle comes down to experience and talent, knowing how to order the saddle tree, designing and installing the rigging, fine tuning the ground seat to position the rider in a desirable location, providing stirrup movement while still maintaining leg control and delivering a look and style that is appropriate in international competition.
Small things make the difference in cutters. Low point of the seat, slope of the horn, height of the swell. Professional riders know that VB Saddles fit their horses, are designed to allow them to ride and show effectively and are always up to date in appearance and quality.
