In most cases the people that contact us have been exposed to our work either by reputation, having seen or tried our saddles/tack that a friend or associate may have bought from us or has been referred to us by a trainer. We are used to supplying saddles and tack to people over the phone, customers that we will probably never meet. Our saddles on order at anytime will include customers from B.C., Alberta, Montana, Washington and Europe. We accomplish this by having detailed discussions with our customers discovering their personal needs in a saddle. Once we agree on the overall design and details of the saddle we can give a pretty firm deadline for constructing the saddle. We require a $500 (Cdn) deposit upon ordering and the balance upon completion before shipping.
Saddles are constantly changing - not always in an obvious way but changing nevertheless. It may be a change in the tree within the saddle such as narrowing up the side cut of the tree bars to put the rider's leg on the horse sooner or closer. The change may be cosmetic as in the popularity of the old time border patterns coupled with flower corners to give a fresh traditional look. It may be functional such as higher fronts on cutting horse saddles to straighten the arm - shorter seats on reining saddles to prevent tipping and to promote the up hill feeling of the sear, or our new option flex rigging in our All Around Saddles making them more versatile over varying terrain and conditions. Because we work daily with trainers and showmen on these performance features we constantly update our saddles to reflect and include these desirable features. |
